Inner·Wave
Sleep & Meditation Soundscapes

About

Where sound meets stillness

Inner·Wave was born from a simple observation: the same elements that make a great meditation — sound, guidance, frequencies, and intention — are also the elements that people should be able to shape for themselves.

After years of creating soundscapes and guided meditations for others, we wanted to build something different: an app that doesn't just play meditation content, but gives you the tools to create your own. Intuitively. Without needing to be a sound engineer or a meditation teacher.

The Person Behind It

Søren Munk
Søren Munk
Creator & Developer · MSc

Søren is passionate about meditation and the intersection of sound and consciousness. With a Master of Science background and years of personal contemplative practice, he brings both scientific rigour and heartfelt curiosity to the exploration of how sound can support inner stillness.

For several years, Søren has been creating soundscapes and guided meditations on Insight Timer — combining binaural beats, solfeggio frequencies, subliminal affirmations, and gentle guidance into layered audio experiences. Over time, a community grew around this work.

But the deeper realisation was that everyone works with the same building blocks — a calming soundscape, a guiding voice, a frequency pattern, an intention. And what if people could combine those elements themselves, in their own way, for their own practice?

That's what Inner·Wave is. Not just an app with meditations — but a creative space where you can shape your own inner soundscape.

"Meditation is not about belief. It is about awareness."

Our Approach

We work with sound as a supportive element — not as a promise. Some of the methods in the app, such as breath awareness and mindfulness, are supported by decades of research. Others, such as specific frequencies or subliminal affirmations, remain areas of ongoing exploration.

We include these tools because many people report positive experiences with them. At the same time, we believe in transparency: we clearly communicate what is well-established and what is still being explored. We encourage curiosity over expectation, and awareness over belief.
